Making the Fall Style Transition with Our Friends from Julep!

Recently, we had the chance to work with our friends from Julep to design a style board around our favorite shade from their fall nail polish collection. With so many colors to choose from, we decided why just choose one color when we had 2 obvious winners? So, we decided to create two boards to show you what color trends we are into this fall and how they can easily transition from home décor to beauty and even to fashion. One look is a little soft while the other is totally glam! We’ll leave it up to you to decide which look takes the prize!

Fall Decorating Ideas

Elegant damask wallpaper, Chloe flats, a pale pink eye shadow by NARS and an effortless floor length silk skirt, makes “Clara” an easy color addition to both our fall wardrobe as well as our home décor.

Clara: This pretty beige/pink hue is romantic and soft and can easily weave its way from your wardrobe into your home. “Maddy” being one of our favorite summer shades made this an easy pick!

Fall Decorating Ideas

From a gorgeous Anthropologie coat we’ve had our eye on, to a fabulous bohemian scarf from ModCloth, it wasn’t hard for us to make the autumn shift from “Florence” a pretty mauve, to “Alaina” a stylish grey statement.

Alaina: Chic and sophisticated, this grey/purple hue is both glamorous and enchanting. With an irresistible vibe that can both stand out or lay at bay, this stylish hue will easily remain a fall staple!

Polishing the Perfect Wall: Why You Should Bring Your Favorite Summer Nail Shades to Walls

2535-20674_Room

The Tom Ford Summer Collection is a perfect match to this modern wallpaper that fuses a vibrant red, soft orange and warm beige for a sizzling brilliance on walls.

Most of us wait all year for those first signs of summer…warmth, sunshine, long beach days, colorful sunsets and updating ones wardrobe from drab winter tones to fresh, happy shades, including switching out that dark nail tone for a more vivid alternative. So why not do the same with your décor?

A bright pink and orange shade as seen in the Essie Summer Collection, matched with its ivory and grey counterparts, make these energetic colors appear light and airy on walls.

If you’re afraid of adding to much color, or worried about how these electrifying shades will actually appear on walls, consider creating a feature wall as an alternative. This gives you the freedom to pick a bold design while making sure your room doesn’t appear too busy or chaotic.

Consider pairing a fearless red with a coppery orange as seen in Butter London’s collection, for a wonderful mix of color and sass.

Dior’s colors of summer bring a cool vibe to your space that is filled with ocean blues, sea glass greens and a fresh pop of pink. If you’re looking to create a relaxing retreat that soothes and inspires, this pretty palette does just the trick.

Embracing Vivid Color in Decor Don't be afraid of color! Brilliant colors can inspire tranquility, exuberance, creativity and warmth. We often we find that people are drawn to a striking wallpaper design, but ultimately end up choosing the taupe, tan, cream, oatmeal, beige or light grey version instead. While choosing neutrals can be a safe choice for timeless decor, these soft hues don't always reflect the personality and vitality that we intended for the expression of our style.
